[...] Writing a guest post at Free Pursuits can help you increase readership and subscribers to your own blog. A great post can be read by thousands or tens-of-thousands of readers. Just ask Ashley Ambirge. I recall she was very happy with what her guest post here did for her readership at The Middle Finger Project. [...]

I used to work for a guy who reffered to sappers and zappers. Ironically zappers were the good people as they give you energy. Sappers were the bad people as they take it away from you.

If you're want to achieve your dreams, you must surround yourself with positive people. If the people you hang out with aren't positive, you need to find new friends.

That's a perfect example of a dream zapping comment - it's almost like a backhanded compliment. It comes down to this: What might be good for one person, might not be good for another. It's simple. Therefore, I think it's best to learn to trust our own instincts instead of continually seeking the advice of others, whose only perspective & experience they have is their own...which isn't necessarily going to be yours, so therefore it isn't very valid in the first place, is it?

Just commented over there! Enjoyed the article!

I really dislike people who take it upon themselves to help others live in reality, dammit! Me kid brother used to do that! He used to say, 'Your balloon never comes down!' when I made the mistake of sharing my dreams within breathing distance of him. Obviously, he operated under the notion that sharing similar DNA entitled me to his opinions. He's a heroin addicted junkie living with our Mum now; so I am thrilled I had the good sense to ignore his "words of wisdom."

The appropriate response to his stupidity would be: 'Of course my balloon is in the air. That's where balloons belong!'

I love Corbett's site and YOUR guest post. I find this title fascinating too. It's almost frightening how many people come out of the woodwork as dream zappers once you start doing what you want to do. If you don't follow a conventional path they come out fast and hard to shut you down. It's hard to stay true to your path, but so worth it!

ps - "hot-sauce-addicted founder of The Middle Finger Project" love that phrase because I'm an addict too!
