It’s really easy to assume that other people know what’s best for us. The people above. The ones in charge. The bosses, the decision makers, the collective “they.” We do what they ask, eat what they serve us, follow their guidelines, take their word, accept things at face value, and believe that someone, out there, is looking out for our best interests.
